American Staffing Association
The American staffing Association promotes and protects the interests of the U.S. staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry across all sectors through advocacy, research, education, and the promotion of high standards of legal, ethical, and professional practices. Inter-Connect is an ASA member and employs its resources among many others to better understand the staffing industry and evolve with changing policies, laws and trends.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR professional society. It is the leading provider of resources serving the needs of HR professionals and advancing the practice of human resource management. Inter-connect staff are active members of SHRM’s local chapter. Julie Bonansinga, co-owner of Inter-Connect, is the Program Director and on the Board of Directors. She is a member of the National SHRM as well. Additionally, Tim Bonansinga, whose is also a co-owner, is certified through SHRM as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
The Great River Economic Development Organization (GREDF) exists to maintain and improve the economic vitality of Quincy and Adams County, Illinois through the retention and expansion of existing businesses and the attraction of new businesses to our communities. Inter-Connect is an executive club level affiliate of the GREDF and Julie Bonansinga serves on the executive board. We provide a $2500+ annual donation and work to support their goals through a variety of other means. We were also part of the hiring team for GREDF’s current CEO.
Quincy Chamber of Commerce
The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce aggressively promotes issues and activities that meet member needs and enhance the business climate and economic well-being of the Quincy area. As a business located in Quincy, Inter-connect is a Chamber member and takes an active role in the development of the Quincy community.
Hannibal Chamber of Commerce
The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce works to develop and grow the Hannibal area. They represent member businesses by providing programs and opportunities designed to enhance prosperity. Inter-Connect is a member of the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce. Although our firm is located in Quincy, Illinois, we operate throughout the Tri-State region and consider Hannibal part of our community. We value its development and play a role in its business community.
Workforce Investment Board of Western Illinois
The Workforce Investment Board of Western Illinois is the primary advocate for the identification, communication, and resolution of current and emerging workforce development matters in Western Illinois. Inter-Connect’;s co-owner Julie Bonansinga is an active executive board member of this workforce development catalyst. We believe providing employers with a pipeline full of qualified, engaged and well-matched individuals for their teams is the key to prosperity and well-being.
American Bar Association Labor and Employment Section
The American Bar Association is one of the world’s largest voluntary professional organizations. It is committed to doing what only a national association of attorneys can do: serve their members, improve the legal profession, eliminate bias and enhance diversity, and advance the rule of law throughout the United States and around the world. Tim Bonansinga, Inter-connect’s co-owner and General Counsel, is an experienced lawyer specializing in employment law and a member of the ABA’s Labor and Employment Section.
Inspire Works is a web based program designed to increase communication between students, job seekers, educators and employers. The goal of Inspire Works is to bring the groups together to help individuals achieve their career goals and address the workforce development needs of our community. Inter-connect owners are affiliates and active supporters of this program.
